Instacart partners with Peacock to offer its members a big streaming benefit

Many people appreciate the convenience that Instacart offers. Peacock has become the streaming service that offers users a plethora of entertainment options. With this new partnership, Instacart+ members can watch all those Bravolebs, Hallmark movies, and NBC favorites anytime they want.

Choosing to join a membership service comes with a cost. While some people do the cost benefit analysis to determine if the expense fits in the budget, the reality is that people appreciate extras included with that purchase. It can be a special discount, a bonus, or something that makes the members feel valued.

According to the announcement, Instacart+ members can receive Peacock Premium with their membership. To help make people aware of this new benefit, Instacart and Peacock will be airing special commercials during some NBC programming.

Speaking to this partnership, Heather Rivera, Vice President, Strategy, Partnerships, and Corporate Development, Instacart, said “Instacart+ helps deliver all of the snacks and beverages a Peacock viewer needs for a must-see TV night. We’re excited to marry the convenience of shopping with Instacart with Peacock’s unparalleled content offerings. An hour saved on a trip to the store means an hour more of fan-favorite shows from Peacock.”

As people go into the busy holiday shopping season, that company’s membership can be the seamless way to complete items on the to-do list. From movie snacks to dinner, there are plenty of reasons to place that order. Plus, the membership helps to make that order more cost effective.

Whether or not there will be additional collaborations between the two brands remains to be seen. But, NBCUniversal has found many ways to leverage products across its channels. Maybe in the near future Peacock watchers will be able to scan, shop, and buy products they see on screen with Instacart+ will happen.

For now, Instacart+ members can catch-up on those Below Deck episodes, holiday classics, or even watch the big game on Peacock. The membership costs $99 or $9.99 a month. It includes service fee discounts, unlimited free delivery on orders of $35 or more, and other benefits.
