Subway footlong cookie set to join the menu permanently

What better way to celebrate National Cookie Day than with the Subway footlong cookie. To kick off the food item joining the menu permanently, Subway is giving guests a taste of this chocolate chip deliciousness. Where can you snag one of these sweet treats?

While the aroma of freshly baked bread welcomes guests at Subway restaurants, did you know that the quick service restaurant sells “more freshly baked cookies than any other restaurant company in the United States?” Even though people might have their favorite footlong order saved in their app, it might be the sweet ending to the meal that never changes.

To celebrate National Cookie Day, the Subway footlong cookie is back. Launched for National Cookie Day 2022, the Cookieway pop-up sold out of the dessert in less than two hours. Based on Miami’s response, it was clear that the cookie needed to come back in a big way.

Speaking to the Subway footlong cookie, Paul Fabre, Senior Vice President, Culinary and Innovation at Subway, “The overwhelming response we received from fans around the country last year let us know that we needed to make the footlong cookie a permanent addition to our menu. At Cookieway this year, our guests will get a sneak peek of an even better footlong cookie: thick, gooey, packed with chocolate chips and served warm – right out of the oven. It’s the perfect pairing with your favorite footlong sub and may even become your favorite footlong after the first bite.”

While restaurants nationwide will get this sweet treat starting next month, select locations in Chicago, Dallas, Miami and New York will be offering a first taste of this cookie. On December 4 from 1 p.m. till 6 p.m., guests can receive a free footlong cookie with the purchase of a footlong sub. The offer is available while supplies last.

While the Cookieway locations are limited, there is another reason to add a cookie to the order. Now through December 31, 2023, every cookie sold will support the Subway Cares Foundation.

The Subway footlong cookie will be kicking off 2024 with extra sweetness. Maybe it is time to resolve to eat more desserts.
