Time and again, Baskin-Robbins is finding creative ways to push flavor boundaries and excite its customers. The June Flavor of the Month brings a punch of pucker through this special Trolli collaboration.
While Baskin-Robbins has touted 31 Flavors, the iconic ice cream brand has found ways to balance a scoop of nostalgia with innovative flavors. Alongside that classic chocolate or cookies and cream, there have been bold spicy treats and beverage inspired desserts. At every turn, the brand has found ways to keep its offerings fresh.
The new collaboration with Trolli is way to blend nostalgia with the here and now. As Nicole Boutwell, vice president of brand marketing & culinary for Baskin-Robbins explained, “Our new lineup is a tribute to the bold, playful spirit of summer. We all remember those carefree moments—from grabbing candy at the corner store to hanging out with friends until the streetlights came on. The new limited-edition Trolli treats are a sweet way to reconnect with that energy and make new memories along the way.”
The June Flavor of the Month is Trolli Sour Blast. It is the first time that Trolli has stepped into the ice cream world. It is more than just candy swirled into a frozen dessert. The flavor has Trolli lime-flavored ice cream swirl and orange flavored sherbet. The combination of lime and orange is tangy, tart, and refreshing.
While there is a slight nod to the classic rainbow sherbet, it is not grandma’s desserts. Just like the Trolli candy, it has big, bold flavors. Both young and old will want to try this special food.
In addition to the specialty flavor, Baskin-Robbins has two more Trolli dessert items coming to the menu. They are Trolli Sour Blast Fizz and Trolli Dirt ‘n Worms Sundae.
The sundae revamps the classic dessert. Combining chocolate ice cream, hot fudge, OREO cookie crumbles, it has that taste of the familiar. By adding the Trolli Crawlers Minis, the tart candy keeps the other ingredients from feeling too sweet. Overall, this dessert captures the fun that people crave in the summer months.
The Trolli Sour Blast Fizz is a curious option for Baskin-Robbins. This bright, refreshing beverage combines the Trolli Sour Blast with Starry. In a way, the beverage feels like it would be great at summer barbecue.
The specialty Trolli offerings arrive at Baskin-Robbins locations starting on June 1. They will be available while supplies last.
