As one of the nation’s most popular pizza brands, Casey’s appreciates that creative, innovative flavors entice people to make another food purchase. While its iconic breakfast pizza is always a popular choice, the newest limited time offering has people craving a taste that briny goodness.

Whether it is a big tailgate or Sunday funday, the pickle wrap is a Midwest staple. For people unfamiliar with that food, it combines pickles, cream cheese, and, usually, ham. The ingredients are rolled up or nestled in between bread. The combination of briny, creamy, and a touch tangy make it a popular choice.

Casey’s has transformed that classic Midwest food into the Pickle Wrap Pizza. Available for a limited time, the specialty pizza takes the classic ingredients, plus bacon, mozzarella, and cheddar cheese, and piles them high on a pizza crust.

Speaking about this new food item, Tom Brennan, Casey’s Chief Merchandising Officer, said, “If you’re from the Midwest, then you know the ham-and-pickle roll-up. We’ve turned that traditional tailgate or potluck appetizer into a Casey’s pizza. The dill pickle stands out, and while this pizza will appeal to pickle fans, its uniqueness can even pull people out of their comfort zones for a delicious Pickle Wrap Pizza surprise.”

The combination of tangy cream cheese and pickles is more robust than a fried pickle and ranch. Additionally, the pizza has an overall unctuous tone. The ham and bacon not only bring a salty note but also that rich flavor. Overall, this pizza hits all the flavor notes in a single bite.

While Casey’s is always willing to experiment with flavors and push the envelope, this pizza stands out not only for its flavors but its willingness to bring a favorite Midwest dish to the table. The fifth largest pizza chain stakes its claim to become the most innovative when it comes to creativity.

Casey’s Pickle Wrap Pizza is available now through December 3 at locations in northern Iowa and Minnesota. A large has a suggested retail price of $17.99.
