From burritos to bowls and from tacos to salads, the Chipotle menu has a plethora of combinations to make the perfect, customizable meal. While people can have the ultimate menu hack, flavor preferences evolve. Chipotle is ready to amplify a favorite dip with smoky, spicy flavor. Ready for the first taste of Adobo Ranch?
Ranch is the versatile dip, sauce, or condiment. Whether it makes vegetables more palatable or is the only acceptable pairing for cheese curds, people cannot get enough of ranch. From Christmas stockings full of sauce to people permanently showcasing their love, ranch is and always will be a favorite.
While the classic buttermilk with herbs was the original flavor, people want more than just the simple, traditional option. With spicy, swicy, and more taking over the food conversation, it makes sense that ranch has bolder flavor options. That variety gives people even more reasons to dip, dollop, and drench their food in ranch.

Starting June 17, Chipotle adds Adobo Ranch to its menu. It has been five years since the last dip, Queso Blanco, joined the menu.
Speaking about this new menu option, Chris Brandt, President and Chief Brand Officer said, “ranch has become a cultural phenomenon, especially among Gen Z, who are finding creative ways to enjoy it beyond the traditional salad. Our new Adobo Ranch taps into this passion, giving fans a crave worthy way to customize their Chipotle order with a completely new flavor.”
Adobo Ranch combines adobo pepper, sour cream, and a unique blend of herbs and spices. While Chipotle refers to an adobo pepper, this ingredient is more likely a blend of peppers. Since “adobo” is usually translated to mean, “marinade,” it sounds like Chipotle is using a spice blend similar to those ingredients used in an adobo to create a spicy ranch.
Although there are adobo recipes in Puerto Rican, Filipino, and Spanish cultures, this flavor reference is probably closer to a Mexican recipe. Since Chipotle uses “smoky and spicy,” it seems that chipotle peppers and other dried chiles will be included.
Tips for serving adobo ranch
Nevielle Panthaky, Vice President of Culinary at Chipotle, shared some serving suggestions. From a quesadilla dip to combining the ranch with salt and lime and serving it with tortilla chips, these are just two options.
Personally, I'd love to try the Adobo Ranch with a burrito. For example, thinning out the sauce a little with some lime juice would make for an amazing, smothered burrito.
Whether it is served with as a drizzle over a bowl, a dip for taco, or just eaten with a spoon, it will take over the top dip spot from Queso Blanco. Creamy, tangy, spicy, and smoky is a winning combination.
To celebrate the new dip, all Chipotle Rewards members will get a free serving on Tuesday, June 17 with the purchase of one regular priced menu item. The offer is available to program members who are in good standing as of June 16.
