While fans are cheering their favorite team’s road to the Lombardi Trophy, many people are heading to those parties for one thing, the food. It is time to get the tastiest lineup for that Fantasy Foodball Pool. What is on deck for each week?

Certain foods are classic football party fare. Items like chicken wings, sliders, chips, dips, and even cookies fill the table and keep everyone satisfy for four quarters of action. While everyone is filling their plate with the overflowing spread, the party host needs to be well prepared. Sometimes that means having some extra non-food items on hand for the event.

This year, TUMS is partnering with DraftKings to offer the TUMS Fantasy Foodball Pool. That name is not a mis-spelling. It is an online game where players pick the winning food and beverage combinations. Whether it is pizza and cherry cola or beer and chicken wings, there are a bevy of options on the table.

As part of the promotion, TUMS partnered with Vince Wilfork, former two-time professional football champion and food enthusiast, to raise awareness about this special event. In a statement by Wilfork, "Nothing should stand between fans and their favorite foods, especially on gameday, so I'm thrilled to partner with TUMS to help foodies like me celebrate without the worry of heartburn getting in the way. Since leaving the field, I never watch a game without my must-have foods, like brisket and ribs that are grilled low and slow, hot wings, sliders and brownies, my favorite dessert. When these occasionally cause heartburn, I reach for TUMS for fast relief."

The Fantasy Foodball Pool is broken into four weeks of play. They are:

January 6 to 12: Tailgate Foods

January 13 to 19: Spicy Foods

January 20 to 26: Sweet Foods

January 27 to February 9: New Orleans Foods

To participate in the food fun, players can choose from 36 items. After picking their top six food and drink preferences, they can see how the items fare over the competition. Will barbecue beat sliders or will chicken wings reign supreme. Only time will tell.

While this fantasy game is fun, it does give football party hosts some insight into prepping their Big Game menu. Even though everyone says that they are wanting the veggies and healthy eating options, there is a reason why that crudité platter is leftover at the end of the night. Sometimes enjoying the indulgence is as sweet as the team’s victory.

Ready to draft that ultimate menu? The Fantasy Foodball Pool is open for play.
