Lala Kent shares her stylish tip for making non-alcoholic beverages sparkle, interview
Never at a loss for words, Lala Kent knows how to make an impression. The successful businesswoman and mother of two appreciates that the holiday season is a time to appreciate all the good things in our lives. For anyone who is hosting this year, Lala recommends this simple serving idea, and everyone will be toasting to the extra sparkle.
Lala has been open and honest about her sobriety journey. Having a variety of flavorful, refreshing non-alcoholic beverages is a key component for her. As fans of Bravo shows know, she is very particular about her sparkling water and beverage choices.
As a Ninja Thirsti partner, Lala wants to tell anyone and everyone how this kitchen essential has become her must have product. She adores it so much that she sends the system to all her friends and even gifted one to Rihanna.
Recently, Ninja Thirsti expanded its beverage drops line to include soda inspired flavors. As part of that launch, I was able to chat with Lala. Always open, honest and funny, her words can be more insightful than she realizes. Many people do not give her enough credit as they should.
One of the key reasons why Ninja Thirsti is her go-to beverage system is the customization. From the flavor insecurity to the carbonation, that ability to have a personalized beverage at the touch of a button is key.
Lala has become obsessed with the new soda flavors. She said that it is her new 4 p.m. beverage routine. That afternoon pick-me up is a refreshing choice.
Lala Kent says non-alcoholic beverages deserve this upgrade
Whether it is a sober lifestyle or just choosing a non-alcoholic option on occasion, Lala Kent believes that the glassware matters. It is a simple idea, but one that can make a big difference.
Lala said, “I found that when I first got sober, the glassware was everything. When I was out, I would take my sparkling water or other beverage in a stemmed glass or a cocktail glass with a garnish. It made me feel like I’m part of the party. People aren’t asking questions.”
“I’m very strong in my sobriety. But, if everyone’s ordering cocktails, I order a soda, and they bring it in a normal glass, I ask for a shorter glass with a garnish. It just makes you feel less isolated from the rest of the group, even though you’re not getting a buzz.”
This idea is even more important as a party host. Lala explained, “if you’re hosting a party, have plenty of stemmed glasses. No one wants to feel like the odd man out.” That simple swap is the inclusive choice that makes everyone feel welcome.
While her glassware is on point any time of the year, Lala shares the holidays are full of fun traditions in her household. Although there might not be snow like her Salt Lake City childhood, other traditions are still part of her celebration.
Lala said that the whole family watches Christmas Vacation every year. Unfortunately, she can relate to the dinner disaster. As she shared, “Everything I touch is a cooking disaster. But, this year I’m going to do the stuffing because I feel that it is pretty hard to mess up.”
While all fingers are crossed that the food is successful at her holiday feast, Lala has gratitude for all the blessings in her life. She said, “It is an incredible life that I have been given. Even though I have worked hard and there has been a tremendous amount of support, I don’t know what I did right in my life to deserve the people that I have around me. I have an overwhelming amount of gratitude for them.”
This holiday season, make any and every event about inclusion and gratitude. Enjoy a glass from a Ninja Thirsti beverage system and toast to a full life.
