Chick-fil-A’s summer menu offers twists on favorite flavors
As the kids pack away the books and the families get ready for some fun, the 2024 Chick-fil-A summer menu balances a taste of the familiar with a little twist. Forget lighting up the grill. Enjoying these food items is always a pleasure.
On the heels of the exciting Cherry Berry Lemonade offerings, Chick-fil-A is adding another new menu item for the summer season. The Maple Pepper Bacon Sandwich hits the perfect balance of savory, spicy, and sweet. It might not be quite as bold as some swicy chicken sandwiches, but it epitomizes Chick-fil-A’s take on a food trend.
As Allison Duncan, director of menu and packaging said, “We are always looking for ways to make unique twists to our entrée selection and the Maple Pepper Bacon Sandwich is a delicious spin on the Chick-fil-A flavors our Guests know and love. It is a delicious blend of sweet, savory and spicy, offering an entirely different flavor profile than any other sandwich we’ve launched. We have several new and exciting offerings in the pipeline and look forward to continuing to surprise our Guests with bold, new tastes in the future!”
The unique aspect of this sandwich is the toasted maple flavored brioche bun. While other QSR brands put the flavor on or in the sandwich, Chick-fil-A is taking a different approach. This concept should allow the sweetness to be subtle.
Additionally, the spicy pickles are a new aspect for Chick-fil-A. That ingredient paired with the brown sugar and black pepper bacon will be a huge hit. Maybe there could be a way to add these ingredients to a salad. It might get more people to eat their greens.
A fan favorite returns to the Chick-fil-A summer menu.
Although nothing will ever surpass Chick-fil-A’s lemonade, the Ice Dream Milkshakes often get more orders during the summer. The always popular Peach Milkshake returns for the 15th year.
For many people, that first sip of a Peach Milkshake is the official start of summer. As the peach puree is whirled into the Icedream dessert, it captures that juicy stone fruit flavor without becoming too sweet.
While Chick-fil-A might not endorse this idea, consider having some buttery cookies or Nilla Wafers to enjoy with that dessert. The idea captures the concept of a pie al mode without all the baking.
