When two iconic brands join forces, the food announcement will have everyone running to make that first purchase. Launching its first dessert taco, Old El Paso partnered with Cinnamon Toast Crunch on the new Old El Paso Cinnamon Toast Crunch Dessert Taco Shells. What will be the first recipe to feature this sweet deliciousness?

Although there is always a time and place for a classic taco shell, a new collaboration expands how people think about that dish. Even though the Choc-Taco might no longer be in the freezer, the lines between sweet and savory can be crossed. This newest food collaboration is a great example.

Speaking to the new Old El Paso Cinnamon Toast Crunch Dessert Taco Shells, Jenny Jonker,  Old El Paso Brand Experience Manager said, “We love adding unexpected flavor combinations to our roster, and this collaboration between Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Old El Paso pairs the most valuable players from the cereal and taco game for a one-of-a-kind format that gives taco night the sweet touchdown it deserves. The Most Valuable Taco is coming off the bench to help cereal and taco fans alike indulge in the beloved tastes and textures they count on from General Mills.”

The Stand ‘N Stuff dessert shells will fly off the shelf. Thinking about this idea, it is a flavor idea that people will want to enjoy over and over. Cinnamon Toast Crunch is a cereal that people always crave. Tacos are that classic dish that can be enjoyed any day of the week. When they are combined, it is an instant win.

With this new food offering, people can celebrate their playful side, too. That shell invites some culinary creativity. While filling them with ice cream or fruit might be the first thought, creating a layered dessert could be a dish that will get everyone cheering.

For example, why not start with a layer of Nutella, that favorite chocolate hazelnut spread, then add some strawberries or bananas, then add some vanilla mousse or just a heaping amount of whipped cream. It is a simple dessert that delivers big flavor.

Or, why not create a dessert bar with these dessert taco shells. From ice cream to yogurt to fruit to candy toppings, there are a multitude of recipe ideas to explore. And, if a shell breaks, use it as an additional topping.

The Old El Paso Cinnamon Toast Crunch Dessert Taco Shells will hit Walmart.com exclusively, starting on February 7. The suggested retail price is $3.18 and will be available while supplies last. Additional limited time retail available will happen in March.
