Frito-Lay makes one football fan the center of Super Bowl history

While many NFL fans will be watching screens as the NFC battles the AFC for the Lombardi Trophy, one lucky person will be at the center of it all. Without having to take a tremendous hit, make an epic catch, or put that football between the uprights, the confetti will rain down and one fan will be at the center of it all thanks to Frito-Lay.

Recently, Frito-Lay launched its Taste of Super Bowl campaign. As seen in the commercial, former NFL champions had a moment to experience that winning confetti moment all over again. Sometimes that burst of confetti can make all those memories come flooding back.

While the commercial had a little bit of humor, the reality is that many people would give almost anything to have that triumphant moment. Frito-Lay is turning that fantasy into reality for one lucky person.

As Brett O'Brien, chief marketing officer, PepsiCo Foods North America said, "At Frito-Lay, our fans are at the center of everything we do – and we're always dreaming up new and exciting ways to heighten the game-watching experience during the biggest sports moments of the year. The joy that comes with the Super Bowl confetti drop is truly unique. We loved bringing this feeling to life in our Taste of Super Bowl campaign and now will let one of our fans be the one to kick off the celebration at Super Bowl LVIII."

Fans can enter to win the opportunity to be the confetti launcher. Entries are available by buying specially marked Frito-Lay bags. Look for the Taste of the Super Bowl bags on shelves.

In addition, the first 500 fans to scan that special QR code will win a “Taste of Super Bowl Confetti Kit and earn an entry for a chance to win a trip to Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas to meet Marshawn Lynch and press the official Super Bowl LVIII confetti button.” This giveaway opens at January 25 at 12:00 a.m. ET.

This special event is just one of several Frito-Lay activations happening in and around Super Bowl LVIII. Kirk Cousins will be hosting Tost by Tostitos. Doritos Dinamita has a new commercial. Basically, all the favorite snacks will be part of the final NFL game.
