Beer cocktails might not have trending photos like a spritz or the showy moments of flare. But, the flavors impress with that first sip. In some ways, those beverages open the door to exploring some new ways of enjoying that favorite beer.

Recently, Guinness shared a few cocktails using its traditional Irish beer as well as its non-alcoholic beer. From a take on the popular espresso martini to a Bloody Mary, these beverages are delicious any time of year, not just around the Irish holiday.

Guinness Bloody Mary

Did you know that the Bloody Mary originated in France? While it has become a brunch staple, this Guinness version might be the new starting beverage for those upcoming football tailgates.

Ingredients

60 ml Guinness Draught

45 ml Smirnoff Vodka

90 ml Tomato juice

2 Pinches celery salt

2 Pinches pepper

Seafood seasoning

2 Sashes hot sauce

2 Dashes Worcestershire sauce

1 Squeeze lemon

Celery stalk and lime wedge, to garnish

Directions

Add all ingredients except beer into an ice filled cocktail shaker.

Shake gently and strain into an ice filled glass.

Top off the drink with Guinness Draught beer.

Garnish with a celery stick and lime wedge.

Mr Black & Guinness Espresso Martini

The popularity of the espresso martini continues to be strong. While there are variations with liquor, coffee, or even preparation, this version is a little lighter than the traditional recipe. That beer floater helps to add just a little extra to the original cocktail.

Ingredients

1 oz Guinness to float

1 Mr Black

75 oz Ketel One

1 bar spoon demerara syrup

Directions

Shake Mr Black, Ketel One and demerara syrup over ice and strain into a cope glass

Float 1 oz Guinness on top to create a luscious, foamy layer
