Royal Caribbean announces Utopia of the Seas Godmother and everyone will be dancing
From fun filled days to an epic night out, the latest ship to join the Royal Caribbean fleet is about to set sail from Port Canaveral, Florida. The Utopia of the Seas Godmother, Meghan Trainor, has everyone excited dancing the night away during the next great adventure.
The godmother tradition is part of the cruising industry. While iconic champagne bottle “smash” on the bow has everyone cheering, the particular person often sets the tone for the ship’s ambiance, sentiment, or even vibe.
Over the years, many iconic names have joined the ranks of a ship’s godparent. Most recently, Icon of the Seas welcomed Lionel Messi to the select club. Other cruise brands have touted Katy Perry, Jennifer Hudson, and even Hannah Waddingham as their honoree.
The newest Oasis ship, Royal Caribbean’s Utopia of the Seas Godmother is Meghan Trainor. The celebrated singer songwriter will kick off the ship’s voyage with a special performance on board. As she stated in a press release, “The best part is that we get to bring that weekend energy to the stage with my family and fans. What’s better than being on vacation with the people you love and dancing to your favorite music? Let’s make some beautiful memories and get this party started!”
Trainor captures that energetic vibe that appeals to a multi-generational vacation. Regardless of being able to sing every lyric by heart, her music can get even the two-left footed passenger to cut a rug. There are no excuses; it is time to let every experience become the best one ever.
Utopia of the Seas focuses on the short-itinerary cruise. In a few days time, guests can explore the world’s biggest celebration. From immersive dining experiences to eye popping performances to the favorite escape at Perfect Day at CocoCay, every minute on board is full of possibilities.
As Michael Bayley, president and CEO, Royal Caribbean International, “Utopia of the Seas is where making the most of the weekend and every moment are more than a state a mind, they’re a reality any day of the week. This is the short getaway that’s all about celebrations, celebrating friends, family and the memories you make together,”
With the latest Royal Caribbean ship, the cruise company combines favorites with reimagined offerings. For example, Izumi in the Park not only has a new location but also offers the first omakase experience at sea.
Additionally, Utopia of the Seas will offer the first tiki bar at sea. This idea builds on Icon of the Sea’s successful swim up bar, Swim and Tonic. With 20 different bars, serving both cocktails and mocktails, there are plenty of opportunities to raise a glass to every and any celebration.
Utopia of the Seas will offer 3- and 4-night itineraries departing from Port Canaveral, Florida. More information can be found on RoyalCaribbean.com.
