Sonic’s OREO Big Scoop Cheesecake Sundae is the ultimate craveable dessert

While some people love sipping a Sonic Slush, it is time to grab the spoon and dig into another sweet treat. The OREO Big Scoop Cheesecake Sundae is a must try. America’s favorite drive-in has raised the bar yet again.

What can guests expect from the Sonic OREO Big Scoop Cheesecake Sundae and Blast?

According to Sonic, the OREO Big Scoop Cheesecake Sundae starts with a classic vanilla soft serve and layers pieces of OREO. Then, it is topped with a huge scoop of OREO Cheesecake. The Blast features vanilla soft serve mixed with a cheesecake flavor and OREO cookie pieces. It is also topped with a scoop of OREO Cheesecake.

The Sundae version is a more ice cream forward flavor. Since it is eaten with a scoop, guests can control how much of that cheesecake is enjoyed per bite. It is almost like a choose your own adventure scenario.

With the Blast, the cheesecake flavor is more predominate because of the flavoring added to the soft serve. This version should be a little tangier but also quite rich. This dessert might need a spoon, too. Otherwise, some of those pieces might get stuck in a straw.

Adding these two dessert items to the spring menu is a curious choice for Sonic. While some quick service restaurants are focusing on fruit forward options, Sonic is focused on rich, decadent treats. Maybe it is time to appreciate the indulgence and leave the fruity notes for summer fun.
