Taco Bell and MTN DEW go all in for Baja Blast’s 20th anniversary
Raising a toast for a momentous birthday is a tradition and the BAJAVERSARY, Baja Blast’s 20th anniversary, has both Taco Bell and MTN DEW excited to amplify that celebration. From free beverages to Baja Blast Gelato arriving nationwide, that tropical refreshment will be enjoyed by all.
The idea of a signature drink associated with a quick service restaurant has evolved over the years. Baja Blast and Taco Bell have been the pinnacle of partnerships. People have ridden that wave of refreshment long before beverage trends filled people’s feeds.
As Taylor Montgomery, Chief Marketing Officer at Taco Bell said, “For two decades, MTN DEW BAJA BLAST has been the drink that loyal fans just can’t get enough of. We’re extremely proud of the synonymous, iconic duo Taco Bell and BAJA BLAST have become. We’re celebrating this incredible milestone just as much as our die-hard Baja fans and can’t wait to share even more epic experiences, innovations and rewards as we continue to fuel our fans’ love for BAJA BLAST.”
While the Baja Blast 20th anniversary celebration has been filling store shelves for a little while, Taco Bell is amplifying the excitement with several big promotions. After a summer of new food items, menu promotions, and other events, this latest offering has people thirsty to indulge yet again.
How is Taco Bell and MTN DEW celebrating the BAJAVERSARY?
Over the years, that vibrant blue beverage has not only quenched a thirst, but it excites people with its various iterations. From frozen to dessert, there are many ways that citrus, teal colored drink can be enjoyed.
Speaking about the loyal fan base, JP Bittencourt, Vice President of Marketing at Mountain Dew said, “We’re constantly inspired by our fans and feed off their energy, which drives our urge to deliver breakthrough innovations and exclusive offerings to thank those who have supported us – whether it’s our diehard fans from day one to new consumers who continue to join our fandom each and every day.”
To kick off this celebration, on July 29, everyone can receive a free medium-sized MTN DEW BAJA BLAST fountain drink or regular-sized BAJA BLAST Freeze. The special offer can be redeemed in store or via the Taco Bell app.
Additionally, Taco Bell is launching a $1 Happy Hour. From 2-5 p.m. every day, a medium MTN DEW BAJA BLAST fountain drink or regular-sized BAJA BLAST Freeze is just a $1. Also, if guests did not know, refills are always free when dining in Taco Bell restaurants.
One of the biggest treats that will get all the Taco Bell fans cheering is the MTN DEW BAJA BLAST Gelato. Many people might remember this previous announcement.
Starting on August 3, that creamy, sweet dessert will be available to order. The special frozen dessert will be available exclusively to Taco Bell Rewards members via the Taco Bell app.
To be clear, the offer is limited and available while supplies last. There is a limit of four per order. Specific costs have not been shared.
Is another BAJA BLAST dessert on the horizon?
According to Taco Bell, a MTN DEW BAJA BLAST Pie is coming later this year. Taco Bell did not commit further on this announcement. There is no launch date, rollout, or description.
But, many people can speculate what this MTN DEW BAJA BLAST Pie will taste like. As seen in the photo, it is more of a cream pie. The touch of lime zest on the whipped cream is a nice touch.
More importantly, the type of crust used for this pie will be key. Could coconut flakes be mixed into that graham cracker crust? Everyone will have to wait and see.
For now, there is plenty of BAJA Blast flowing to celebrate the BAJAVERSARY. Ready to raise that glass and toast to another 20 years?
