Royal Caribbean’s Royal Beach Club Collection gives guests more on shore

Stepping aboard a Royal Caribbean ship offers the ultimate vacation escape. Whether it is exploring the neighborhoods on the new Icon of the Seas or indulging in the weekend extravaganza on Utopia of the Seas, each ship offers a multitude of activities. Royal Caribbean is expanding that level of vacation excellence with its new Royal Beach Club Collection.

As many cruise travelers appreciate, ports of call offer another element to the vacation. From the special excursion to explore local culture to a quick jaunt to shop around the port, there are plenty of reasons to step away from the favorite on board watering hole and see what the world has to offer.

For some travelers, they prefer to have the ship board comforts at their fingertips. Perfect Day at Coco Cay is a great example how a Royal Caribbean has packaged an off-ship branded moment into the total experience. Whether adults escape into the high energy beach club atmosphere or opt for a quieter moment relaxing on the sand, guests know that the same level of service can be found on the island as it is on board.

The next chapter in Royal Caribbean’s complete vacation experience is the Royal Beach Club Collection. The private spaces at various ports of call allow cruise guests to have that perfect beach day that has been curated by the cruise brand that they trust.

As Michael Bayley, president and CEO, Royal Caribbean International, explained, “The Royal Beach Club Collection is designed for every type of family and vacationer to get everything they want out of their ideal beach day – no matter the vibe they’re looking for. With the first-of-its-kind Royal Beach Club Paradise Island, we continue to super-serve our guests with a tailored experience at one of our most highly visited destinations, building on nearly five decades of collaboration with the community and government of The Bahamas.”

Opening first at Paradise Island in the Bahamas, the specialty venue will feature a little bit of everything. Given that Royal Caribbean is well-suited for the multi-generational family traveling together, it is vital to have areas that appeal to young, old, and everyone in between.

Similar to how “neighborhoods” are created on board the newer Royal Caribbean ships, the various club “zones” have a particular vibe. As the names suggest, Family Beach, Chill Beach, and Party Cove have their own niche. After all, the person who just wants to read a book may not appreciate the infectious beat from a club DJ.

While each zone will have its own area, the all-inclusive nature of the curated beach day has tremendous appeal to many guests. Since travelers are accustomed to their drink packages and endless food options on board, this concept is an extension of the seamless vacation. Royal Caribbean has made it easy for guests to have it all and push all the worries aside.

With the Bahamian location being the first launch, it will be interesting to see how Royal Caribbean infuses the local culture into the overall experience. Since there are some travelers who want to feel as if they delved into something new and different on vacation, it is imperative to make this all-inclusive beach club feel different from anything that is on board the ship. From food to cocktails, that Bahamian influence needs to be front and center.

The Royal Beach Club Collection will continue to expand. With an additional location set to open in Mexico as well as expansions of the Perfect Day concept, Royal Caribbean is making the cruise vacation a better value both on and off shore. It is another reason why families keep turning to Royal Caribbean for their vacation plans.

Royal Beach Club Paradise Island is set to open in 2025. The brand is set to launch Star of the Seas in 2025 as well.
