Sometimes food is more enjoyable when a flavorful sauce enhances every bite. One of the hottest food trends is sauce. Whether it is tossed, dipped, or smothered, that topping creates a whole new eating experience. If people love that option, their dogs will enjoy that food upgrade, too. Pedigree and West Wilson are ready to make it happen.

Pedigree just added Drizzlers sauces to its line. The idea is simple. Dog food can have enhanced flavor, texture, and overall satisfaction with a sauce. Whether it tops kibble, wet food, or another option, it is an opportunity to upgrade dogs’ mealtimes.

To help introduce Pedigree Drizzlers, the brand collaborated with West Wilson on the "Sauce for All Campaign" and a special event. On May 17, West and Pedigree will host special hot dog stand to showcase that mealtime is better when it is saucy.

Ahead of the event, West Wilson graciously spoke with FoodSided about this collaboration, his thoughts on saucy food, and a few hints about the upcoming Summer House reunion.

When asked how this collaboration came to be, West admitted, “personally, I find condiments incredibly necessary. Some people might be a little like Switzerland on condiments, but I believe that they truly matter. Since the types of condiments matter, dogs should not be left out of the specialized condiment world. It would be a disservice. With the Pedigree Drizzlers, the dogs can enjoy some flavor and moisten up their food, too.”

Since Pedigree and West are hosting a special hot dog event in New York City, the question about hot dog condiments had to be asked. West said, “I’m anti-ketchup on a hot dog. I think that’s a juvenile decision. Yes to mustard, and if there are onion or sauerkraut close, I will add those. I would even put mayo on a dog, like they do in Los Angeles.”

West appreciates the idea of getting the most flavor out of a meal, which is why he thinks that the Drizzlers are a fun idea. He said, “no one likes dry food, dogs or humans. Drizzlers not only brings the flavor but makes that kibble moist.”

While all the flavors will be appreciated by the dogs, West said he heard that the chicken option got four paws up. According to him, “chicken flavored Drizzler is like the ketchup to humans.” It is a staple.

As West shared, people think about food for dogs differently. Specifically, he said, “the way we treat our dogs is becoming more and more like closer to family members.” To him, it seems obvious that they would want to amplify the flavor in the meal. Drizzlers does just that.

Although West does not have a dog, he thinks that people need to be compatible in their preferences on having a dog in their life. He believes, “I think that we need to have that conversation in the early stages of dating. You do not want to be years into dating and disagree.”

That honesty and upfront candor is one of the reasons why West became popular with Summer House fans. As he explained, “I think people appreciate (the show)  because we are not just showing up to film a scene at dinner and then going home. We are all living in one house, together, for three straight days, for two months. That situation doesn't give you the opportunity to put on a front.”

Additionally, West believes that people watch because everyone has some aspect that is relatable to the audience. “We are all like normal, cool people who are just trying to figure out life. There is a little bit of everyone somewhere in Summer House.”

While filming of the current season ended a while ago, the Summer House Reunion happened more recently. What can fans of the Bravo show expect on the reunion? West said that he had fun. “For me, I had no where to go but up. The reunion answers all the questions that fans might have.”

Summer House might have some saucy moments on realty television but Pedigree Drizzlers brings the flavorful sauce to a dog’s meal. Ready to level up that kibble with a drizzle that dogs give four paws up?
