Sometimes that red light calls you from the front seat of your call. You don’t want to stop. But, you know that those glazed donuts are hot and ready. A Krispy Kreme craving is real. Now, you can satisfy that craving anytime with Jelly Belly Krispy Kreme jelly beans.

Today, the lines at numerous Krispy Kreme locations were huge. The 80th birthday celebration, 80 cents for a second dozen promotion, kept the red light on all day long. The original glazed donut, sometimes hot off the rack, is quite good. Sometimes a classic can’t be beat.

True, gourmet donuts are everywhere. With the numerous toppings or unusual flavor combinations, these gourmet donuts have their place in the donut culture. Still, a classic, plain glazed donut can be enjoyed any time of day, with any beverage, and never gets old.

Unfortunately, not every city has a Krispy Kreme location. Even Shaq, a Krispy Kreme franchisee, hinted that he could open 100 locations. Until those numerous locations open, how can you satisfy that food craving?

Jelly Belly has solved the Krispy Kreme dilemma. The Krispy Kreme Jelly Belly jelly beans really do taste like the donuts. I don’t know how the jelly bean company accomplished this feat. But, a handful of these jelly beans taste have the exact same flavor as the donuts.

At the Sweets and Snacks Expo 2017, Jelly Belly launched this product. The multi-flavor package won awards, but more importantly, show attendees loved them. I was fortunate enough to try all the Krispy Kreme flavors and I was hooked.

Each of these Jelly Belly packages contain five flavors. In addition to original glazed, the box contains glazed blueberry cake, strawberry iced, chocolate iced with sprinkles and cinnamon apple filled. If I had to pick a second favorite flavor (original glazed is the best) it was glazed blueberry cake. I like that particular donut, but I found the cake donut could be too heavy. That jelly bean flavor had the exact taste of the donut yet I didn’t have the heavy, weight of a cake donut.

So if you have a Krispy Kreme craving and can’t get to a location, keep some Jelly Belly Krispy Kreme jelly beans on hand. A handful of jelly beans satisfies all the donut flavor that you crave.
