As Halloween approaches, everyone is getting ready for the ultimate fright night with Halloween cocktails. Will these horror movie cocktails be as frightening as the movie you’re watching?

Horror movies prey on people’s fears. From menacing clowns to psychotic predators, these movies are often the basis of many Halloween events. Haunted houses, Halloween costumes or even a Halloween party highlights these creepy and scary characters. But, what about Halloween cocktails? A few horror movie cocktails can be the frightful sipper for movie watching.

Halloween horror movies can be a hotly contested subject. Which character is scarier? Are older movies more frightening? Can a franchise really keep going? All these questions can be debated, but people would rather just watch those frightening tales. Sometimes, a bowl of popcorn isn’t enough to keep movie fans sustained through the whole movie. Texas Chainsaw Massacre has been scaring movie goers for years. The sound of the omninous chainsaw wielded by Leatherface can made your blood run cold. Luckily this spicy, smoky margarita will give you the urge to flee from the terror.

"Texan Morgue-a-RitaCreated by Masa Urushido of Saxon + ParoleGet a glimpse of the early days of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre villain: Leatherface. This terrifying asylum escapee is sure to make you shakenly reach for that ‘killer’ spicy margarita.2 parts Tres Agaves Blanco Tequila¾ parts fresh lime juice¼ part smoky simple syrup*Lava salt and dried red chili pepper for garnishShake all ingredients with ice and strain over fresh ice in rocks glass. When frozen, make the cocktail: Place 2 Campari ice cubes in rocks glass. Pour all ingredients over ice cubes and garnish with a wide orange twist. Stir the drink to start the ice melting."
