Unicorn cereal is set to hit U.S. grocery shelves

The colorful unicorn food trend isn’t going away. In March 2018, Kellogg’s will bring Unicorn cereal to U.S. grocery shelves.

Sometimes good things comes to those who wait. Kellogg’s announced that Unicorn cereal is finally making its way to U.S. grocery store shelves. Unlike the mythical creature it’s named after, this cereal is real. Starting in March 2018, the colorful cereal will be available nationwide.

According to Kellogg’s, the limited-edition Unicorn cereal features “red, blue, and purple loops with white crunchlets, and a “magic cupcake” flavor.” While a U.K. version has been available, the U.S. version is different. It sounds like quite a sweet cereal. Between a magical cupcake flavor and white crunchlets, this cereal could a sugary start to the day.

When it comes to unicorn inspired foods, the popularity comes from the bright colors. The rainbow inspired colors are fun. While the flavors may vary, sweet flavors tend to be predominant. Who knew that unicorns preferred copious amounts of sugar? Still, people are drawn to the rainbow inspired colors.

The Unicorn cereal announcement coincided with the opening of the new Kellogg’s NYC Café. The redesigned café features some of Kellogg’s iconic brands. From a DIY cereal bar to homemade Eggos, the café will bring in both fans and foodies.

This café can inspired food lovers to think of cereal beyond breakfast. Savory ingredients can transform that simple cereal bowl into a multi-layer, complex meal. From fresh produce to exotic spices, any and all flavors can transform the classic cereal into a flavorful dish.

For unicorn food fans, the special Kellogg’s Unicorn cereal is exclusively available at the Kellogg’s NYC Café. If you want the magical unicorn loops, head to the café which is located at 31 E. 17th Street in New York City.
