Wine Bar by George at Disney Springs to open this Spring
For months, wine lovers have eagerly anticipated the opening of Wine Bar by George. Disney announced that it finally open this Spring.
Disney Springs has become a popular Orlando destination. Both locals and vacationers flock to the dining, retail and entertainment location. With impeccable planning by Disney, Disney Springs has become a hugely successful attraction. With the addition of Wine Bar by George, Disney Springs solidifies its place in the Orlando restaurant scene.
The Disney Springs dining options effortlessly blend high-profile celebrity chefs with approachable, family friendly options. Restaurants by Morimoto, Art Smith, and Rick Bayless sit around the corner from Planet Hollywood (with Guy Fieri’s menu), Rainforest Café and D-Luxe Burger. With so many dining options, it would take weeks to eat at every single food offering.

According Walt Disney World News, “the menu will include a selection of small plates, sharable plates, cheese and charcuterie boards, and desserts. Offerings will feature seasonally relevant items and everything will be made in-house.” The restaurant’s executive chef, Ron Rupert, looks to create an approachable, yet varied menu. With the vast wine offerings, the food will definitely be on par. Even non oenophiles would be impressed with this menu.

The addition of Wine Bar by George offers an intriguing combination of dining and learning. With the restaurant encompassing an Old World winery feel, guests can learn about the wine. Since this is a Disney property, the educational approach will be engaging and sociable, not obscure. From special events to highlighting winemakers, everyone can learn to appreciate all types of wine.
Since wine is best enjoyed with friends and food, this new space in Disney Springs is likely to be a popular dining destination. From a light afternoon bite and sip to a lingering, elevated dinner, the restaurant should be able to encompass it all. The only downside is waiting for the restaurant to finally open.
Wine Bar by George will be located in Disney Springs. The restaurant is situated by Paddlefish. Exact opening dates will be announced later this year.
