According to the Food Network, Iron Chef America Season 13 episode 1, Izard vs. Blamey features the following:
"It’s the Chairman’s special grill battle, and New York burger master, Chef Victoria Blamey, has a beef with Iron Chef Stephanie Izard. Judges Anthony Anderson and Judy Joo decide which chef makes the grade."

This battle should be quite interesting. Both chefs are well versed in both savory and sweet dishes. Also, each chef has a global approach to food. If the secret ingredient is beef, both chefs should be on equal ground.

It will be interesting to see if this battle is not necessarily a secret ingredient, but instead a secret cooking method. Could Iron Chef America switch up the concept and require the chefs to grill every dish? Sure, the chefs could also have a secret ingredient requirement, but the added grilling element could make for some quick thinking.
In this new season of Iron Chef America returns to its original format. The previous season of Iron Chef Showdown was a little disjointed. It lost some of the fun elements of the original format. This new season should be a good one.
