A few aprons remain in MasterChef season 9 episode 3. In a face off cook off, which chefs will earn a spot in the top 24?

MasterChef season 9 is seeing the three judges pick their chefs to do battle. In the first episodes, the aspiring chefs showcased their signature dishes to impress the judges. While some chefs succeeded, other chefs left the kitchen disappointed.

Going into this episode, Aaron Sanchez has the most aprons left. He has been quick selective with this aprons. Gordon Ramsay and Joe Bastianich have been more generous. Could Aaron’s strategy have helped him get a superstar chef in the final rounds?

MASTERCHEF: L-R: Contestant Bowen and host / chef Gordon Ramsay in the ÒThe Judges Do Battle, Pt. 3Ó episode of MASTERCHEF airing Wednesday, June 6 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. CR: FOX. © 2018 FOX Broadcasting.

According to Fox, “The Judges Do Battle, Pt. 3: Home State Heroes” has the kitchen heating up.

"The cooks face off against one another to earn a spot in the top 24; the contestants prep, cook and plate one dish featuring an ingredient unique to their home state."

The second part of this episode sounds the most intriguing. It will be interesting to see if the chefs can choose the state ingredient or if the ingredient is chosen for them. Most likely these ingredients will be quite approachable. The question becomes will the chefs succumb to the pressure of the moment.

Whoever can stay true to their cooking style, yet execute well, should be successful in the face off.
Do you have a favorite team yet? Personally, I’m pulling for Team Aaron. I don’t necessarily have a reason, but I like how Chef Aaron cooks.
