This team challenge has two rather difficult parts. First, cooking for 100 people is quite daunting. Understanding timing is a huge concern for a home cook. Cooking for 100 people isn’t the same as making a dinner for four.
The key to this type of challenge is keeping the dish’s components minimal. No one needs to break out the tweezers for plating. The dishes should be flavorful, yet easily plated for the large number of guests.

Second, cooking with beer isn’t as easy as it seems. Sure, beer battered fried food is an obvious choice, but the chefs should consider something more creative. The difficulty in creating a beer focused dish is highlighting the beer flavor effectively. The team that can bring out the subtly without losing the beer flavor should earn the respect from the judges.
