Are you obsessed with coffee? These Airbnb Experiences give coffee fans a new reason to travel the globe for their caffeine fueled passion.

For some people, coffee is life. Airbnb Experiences has created over 275 coffee-related travel experiences. While some people might travel for pleasure, work or something in between, themed travel is becoming more popular. By offering these experiences based on travelers’ favorite foods, Airbnb is finding that travelers are most invested in the travel.

According to Airbnb, coffee-related experiences have grown significantly over the past year. Travelers are look for locations, education and tastings in these travel experiences. From travel in the U.S. to travel around the globe, these experiences allow coffee lovers to bring their passion into their next getaway.

While Airbnb Experiences has over 275 coffee-related experiences on the platform, a few destinations ranked in the top choices. Based on the number of experiences in each market, the top U.S. domestic location was San Francisco and the top European destination was London. Other locations, like Mexico City and Sydney made the top 10 list as well.

Looking specifically at the top U.S. destination, I wouldn’t have guessed that San Francisco would have earned the number one spot. While the City by the Bay is a huge foodie city, coffee wouldn’t have been my thought as a big draw. Still, the city offers brunch experiences that incorporate craft coffee options. Who can resist a good brunch while on vacation?

While Seattle did rank as the fifth best coffee destination, I still harken back to the 90s pop culture Seattle coffee phenomena. Although Starbucks is seen as a coffee giant, the Seattle coffee scene can showcase the nuanced flavors and techniques beyond the massively popular chain. Maybe a few of these experiences can even highlight a few movies from the 90s coffee-influenced years.

Regarding international locations, I am most intrigued with Mexico City. While Italy and Italian roasters seem like a more obvious choice, Mexico City has a long, storied history with coffee. As one of the top coffee producers, the area offers a rich coffee culture. It can be quite compelling to see the differences that culture and craft can make in a cup of coffee.

While these experiences are engaging in the moment, the bigger part of the experience is bringing those memories home. For example, the knowledge gained during the Mexico City experience could have you trying a new coffee for your morning routine. Or, the brunch and coffee pairings in San Francisco could have you hosting brunch for your friends where you show off what you’ve learned. With these experiences, your travel isn’t just pictures on your phone. These experiences can impact your outlook long after the vacation itself.
