The Holiday Gingerbread Showdown finale is going to be spectacular holiday celebration. After winning each of their episodes, the finalists are looking to exceed all expectations in this finale. Which gingerbread baker will be crowned the first Holiday Gingerbread Showdown Champion?
According to the Food Network, this finale episode will feature the following:
"Our three finalists go all out to see who can create their biggest “Ultimate Holiday Celebration” scene. Each baker pulls out all the stops and incorporates their own personal touches to their elaborate creations as well as holiday treats for the judges. The competitor that wows the judges the most will walk away with the grand prize of $25,000 and will be featured in Food Network Magazine as the first Holiday Gingerbread Showdown Champion!"

Given that this episode is the finale, the gingerbread houses should be quite impressive. Looking back at the first three episodes, the bakers’ styles are quite different, which should make for an entertaining finale. With a topic so broad, it will be interesting to see how each baker interprets the finale challenge.
In this finale, I hope that the bakers really find new and creative interpretations of the holiday theme. While Santa, presents and more are festive, it would be nice to see something more. It could be a Christmas ice skating rink, gigantic Christmas tree or maybe even a chimney with stockings. It could be fun to have something other than a traditional house-like design.
In this finale, the bakers need to ensure that all elements are on point. While each episode has required the bakers to create a tasting element, that holiday treat hasn’t really been a factor in determining an episode winner. Could the finale see a great emphasis on that holiday treat?
