For many people, Cheetos are the ultimate snack. Even though your hands might turn a bright orange color after finishing a bag, that tell-tale sign is worth every tasty bite.

While people can debate the best Cheetos flavor or variety, everyone agrees that Chester Cheetah deserves a spot in the snacking hall of fame. That infamous Cheetah had guided many snack fans to the tastiest treats.

The newest Cheetos Thing to hit the market is Cheetos Mac and Cheese. These three flavors of mac and cheese bring the popular snack flavors to the pasta bowl. Whether you like classic Cheetos, Flamin’ Hot Cheetos or Jalapeno Cheetos, these mac and cheese options deserve prime space in your pantry.

Recently, I was given a sneak peek, taste test for this new Cheetos Mac and Cheese. Before talking about the flavors, the most noticeable aspect is the pasta itself.

Instead of a traditional elbow macaroni, this pasta is corkscrew shape. The shape is said to mimic Chester’s tail, but there is another reason why this pasta shape is important. The corkscrew shape helps to bring more of the Cheetos flavor into each and every bite. That corkscrew shape allows the sauce to get into every twist and turn.

After trying the three flavors, the Flamin’ Hot version is the boldest, just like the snack itself. Before even taking a bite, the seasoning pack can make you do a double take. The seasoning is strong and you might want to keep your face away from the bowl while mixing.

When the mac and cheese is done, the color is the same as those Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. The bold red is as strong as the flavor. The strong spicy flavor mimics the snack. If you can handle Flamin’ Hot snacks, you will enjoy this mac and cheese.

The Cheesy Jalapeno has a more approachable spice level to this option. While the heat is apparent, it doesn’t leave you wishing a big glass of milk. For people who like a bold flavor with their cheesy goodness, this flavor is a winner.

Lastly, the Bold & Cheesy Cheetos Mac and Cheese brings the traditional Cheetos flavor to the pasta bowl. That Top Secret Seasoning makes this mac and cheese quite satisfying.

Thinking about the Bold & Cheesy, a great variation is to add a few crushed Cheetos as a crumb topping. While the breading topping can be a divisive ingredient, the additional texture is tasty. If you are serving individual bowls, people can customize their meal. Sometimes it is ok to “play” with your food.

The new Cheetos Mac and Cheese are currently available exclusively at Walmart stores and online. Both the single box and cup format are available and are priced at 98 cents. Additional retailers will be available in 2021.
