Negroni Week is here and it’s time to celebrate with a purpose.

Each year, Negroni Week brings together members of the hospitality industry to celebrate the classic Negroni cocktail. With the hospitality industry facing a long struggle ahead, this year’s event takes a different turn. It is time to raise a glass and give back to those who helped everyone enjoy a cocktail over the years.

Whether you are drawn to a Negroni for its bold red color or for its robust flavor, the classic Campari, Gin and vermouth cocktail is delightful as an apertif, paired with a meal or just enjoyed because it is a favorite libation. Over the past several years, the cocktail lovers have found a new appreciation for the classic cocktail.

Since its inception in 2013, Negroni Week has been a way for the hospitality industry to raise money and awareness for various charities. Participating restaurants had created special themed cocktails that had people toasting for a purpose. From the annual event, the program has raised over $3 million for charities across 70 countries.

This year’s celebration takes a different turn. The money raised this year will go directly back to the hospitality industry. From an online donation platform to Negroni kits and merchandise, these items will benefit organizations that help hospitality workers.

With the event going digital, cocktail fans can raise a glass at home and hopefully give back to the bars and restaurants that have offered that open chair over the years. To help get into the Negroni mood, everyone can follow long with virtual events.

Since a little history behind the cocktail can make people appreciate that first even more, the Negroni Family Tree series that highlights the variations on the classic cocktail. Presented by Campari’s ambassadors, these celebrated bartenders will explain and show why everyone should add the Negroni to their cocktail portfolio.

To get everyone in the mood for a Negroni, Campari has shared its classic recipe. Considered the second most popular cocktail in the world, this libation is always in fashion.

Classic Negroni


  • 1 part Campari
  • 1 part Sweet Red Vermouth (Campari recommends 1757 Vermouth di Torino)
  • 1 part Gin (Campari recommends BULLDOG Gin).


  • Pour all ingredients directly into a rocks glass filled with ice
  • Stir gently
  • Garnish with an orange slice

Whether you have the perfect cocktail ice or the most fashionable glassware isn’t the most important factor. The idea is to enjoy a Negroni and remember the happy times that you had at your favorite restaurant or bar.
