HI-CHEW Strawberry Lemonade wins the Flavor Games

The Flavor Games crowned HI-CHEW Strawberry Lemonade as the fan favorite.

The HI-CHEW fans have spoken, and HI-CHEW Strawberry Lemonade will be the new HI-CHEW flavor for 2021. During the Fantasy Flavor Games, fans voted to advance candies in this ultimate candy bracket showdown. Now, that new flavor will join the other popular HI-CHEW candies.

The Strawberry Lemonade flavor is inspired by the classic summer beverage. The tart lemon flavor is surrounded by the sweet strawberry on the outside. It captures the classic combination and is quite refreshing.

This flavor expands the HI-CHEW beverage inspired candies. Flavors like Tropical Smoothie and Pina Colada have been well received. These flavors are found in the Fruit Combos Mix. The Strawberry Lemonade would make a great addition to that mix package.

While the Strawberry Lemonade flavor should be a huge hit, it is interesting that fans picked a classic flavor as the winner in the Fantasy Flavor Games. With all the options, it seems that people wanted a familiar, almost comfort food.

Looking at the early brackets, many flavors were a little bolder. For example, yuzu was an option. That bold citrus punch could have been a game changer. Although a few options made it past the first round (lychee and passion fruit), the less common flavors seemed to fade.

In the end, the final four flavors were Strawberry Lemonade, White Peach, Black Cherry and Blue Hawaiian. Given that many people are longing for the Hawaiian vacation, it is interesting that this flavor didn’t make the finale.

It will be interesting to see if the runner-up, White Peach, or the other final four candy flavors, could be added to the HI-CHEW line-up in the near future. White Peach could be a lovely choice for late summer.

HI-CHEW always brings bold fruit flavors to the candy aisle. The fruity flavors pack a punch. Whether it is a classic like grape or tropical like mango, these candies are always a treat.

The new HI-CHEW Strawberry Lemonade will be available in 2021. An exact date has not been revealed.
