Even though some high alcohol seltzers have looking to challenge the vodka and soda space, many of those beverages have a commonality. While the party seems festive as one sip leads to another, the reality is that the morning after might a chilled glass of regret. Could a functional vodka change that conversation and cocktail hour for the better?

From Red Bull and vodka to a martini to a myriad of other beverages, the reality is that vodka is a versatile spirit. The mild flavor always it to mold itself to a variety of cocktails. Whether poignant in its simplicity to brash with its complexity, there is always a reason to have at least one vodka on the shelf.

Since that spirit can seem smooth, it can lead some people back to the glass. Even with a cautious shake, a little overindulgence can occur. Unfortunately, that concept can lead to a hushed toned the morning after. It begs the question, how much do drinkers know about what is in the glass?

Simply states, not all vodka brands are the same. From region to craft, the vodka conversation can be as in depth as a discussion about terroir for wine. While personal flavor preferences guide the choice, a new element is being added to the mix.

Bellion Vodka is said to be functional vodka. While functional beverages have found prime real estate in the refrigerator, the idea of a “better for you” spirit seems to be growing in popularity.

According to founder Harsha Chigurupati, Bellion Vodka uses NTX Technology to disrupt the vodka conversation. The idea is to “reduce damage done to the liver, reduce inflammation in the body, and reduce oxidate stress.” While the company provides science to support its claims, just the premise drives people to order a bottle at least once. Who hasn’t woken up with regret pounding in their temples? Could a better option be on the shelf.

Of course, the flavor needs to be enjoyable. With a crisp, clean finish and a slightly citrus aroma, the reality is that the vodka has a wide appeal. Whether drunk neat or mixed into a cocktail, there are plenty of choices.

As people start to discover Bellion Vodka another ingredient has been added to the liquor conversation. While alcohol will never fall under the healthy eating category, there can be a less obtrusive choice on the shelf.
