ALDI fries up the perfect food board for Galentine’s Day

While romance might be in the air, some people might rather celebrate the love of a great friendship. With Galentine’s Day approaching, it is the perfect time to gather friends, enjoy some time together and create the ultimate Galentine’s Day food spread.

This year, Galentine’s Day coincides with a particular “big game” event. While some people might be glued to every pass and tackle, some ladies might prefer a less athletic program to watch. Although the Hallmark Channel programming doesn’t have to fill the day, a good laugh can be just as enjoyable as the happily ever after.

Many people know that ALDI has shelves filled with great finds. From the weekly ads to that special hidden shelf, it seems that every shopping trip results in a full cart.

Since ALDI always tries to incorporate food trends into many of its finds as well as inspiring shoppers to use those finds in creative ways, the ALDI Charcuterie Board of Directors was created to offer its tasty takes on a variety of topics. While they released their food trends earlier this year, this latest Galentine’s Day suggestion might be perfect for that stay at home celebration.

What is ALDI serving for Galentine’s Day?

From curly fries to sweet potato fries, there is no shortage of options. While the various fries add to the visual appeal, it is also fun to eat. Just make sure that those fries have the perfect crunch. Like a guy who forgets Valentine’s Day plans, no one likes a soggy fry.

The key with this Fries Before Guys board is the various flavors. The various dipping sauces, that can be paired with all the fries, makes eating them fun. While traditional condiments are always a good choice, why not push the boundaries a little.

For example, instead of a traditional tomato ketchup, consider a Gochujang ketchup or even a banana ketchup. Or, what about a curry sauce or even an aioli. For the recipe enthusiasts, try to recreate that fry sauce from some favorite restaurants. And, some people might even want a sweet option, like a version of that favorite quick service restaurant dessert.
