Sip on sunshine with Woodbridge Sunshine Pinot Grigio Margarita recipe
While some people might be dreaming of a tropical getaway or are thirsty for a new beverage to pair with that enchilada, the margarita can shake up a new take on the classic sour cocktail. Although the classic combination can quench a thirst on a sunny day, the Woodbridge Sunshine Pinot Grigio Margarita recipe has a zesty twist that will have people taking another sip.
The classic margarita has come a long way from the original recipe decades ago. From skinny versions to switching up the fruit flavor, the options are far more varied than frozen or on the rocks. While some people have incorporated a splash of lager or another beer in the glass to lighten up the flavor, some people would prefer a less effervescent pour.
In this recipe from Woodbridge Wines, the wine brand’s Pinot Grigio adds another layer to the margarita. Since this cocktail does pack a punch because it has both the wine and tequila, it should be sipped with caution. No need to turn a lovely afternoon into an overindulgent affair.
One of the reasons why this cocktail works is that the combination of orange juice, Woodbridge Pinot Grigio, and Tajin hits all the flavor notes. Bright, acidic, sweet, spicy, savory, the flavors lead to drinking satisfaction. With the orange juice, the cocktail does not get too tart.
While not necessarily a brunch cocktail, this idea could be a great swap for a mimosa. Thinking about pairing this cocktail with a hearty omelet or even chicken and waffles would be great. After all, a margarita does not only have to be paired with Mexican food.
