The Celebrity Ascent is the newest vessel joining the Celebrity Cruises Edge Series and the Celebrity Ascent dining looks to elevate the food and beverage enjoyment for its guests. While many favorite restaurants and bars are returning, the chefs and mixologists are evolving the menus, adding innovative ingredients, and incorporating visually engaging experiences.

The cruise industry looks to offer its guests experiences beyond their expectations. While Celebrity Cruises offers a resort at sea experience, the food and beverage offerings are as integral as the luxurious cabins and other amenities. While some guests cannot wait to enjoy that martini or look forward to a bowl of that perfect French onion soup, the blend of favorites and innovation has guests booking trip after trip.

In a recent announcement, the Celebrity Ascent dining takes some familiar concepts from its Edge series and offers a modernized approach. From the bar program to the dining room, guests might want to book a longer getaway to appreciate all the flavorful choices.

Speaking about the Celebrity Ascent, Laura Hodges Bethge, Celebrity Cruises’ President, said “The memories we make with family and friends while sharing food and drink has long-been one of the most memorable parts of travel, and with Celebrity Ascent we sought every opportunity to make these experiences richer and even more exciting for our guests. Onboard Ascent there is something to delight every guest, whether it is the fine dining connoisseur with a palate for the world’s best wines, the couple looking for an intimate and romantic night out, the family that desires to bond with their kids over a fun and high-energy experience, or the wellness-minded traveler desiring more plant-based, healthy options.”

That statement showcases the breadth and depth of food and beverage offerings onboard. With oversight from Chef Daniel Boulud, Celebrity’s Global Culinary Ambassador, the fine dining component is unlike other offerings at sea. In this version of Le Voyage, the new design reflects a neutral, modern aesthetic. Set against the calming backdrop, the intricate dishes with the vibrant flavors will pop.

Contrasting that elegant dining experience is the interactive Le Petit Chef. Although the animated character guides diners through the story, this updated version will have young and old discovering the fun associated with discovering new flavors. For someone who wants the dining experience to jump off their plate, a night at Le Petit Chef delivers.

Since Celebrity Cruises appreciates that diverse food options make for a more fulfilling experience, Eden’s multi-course menu will be a new seven-course plant-based tasting menu. Stepping into that total sensory experience is more than a nod to the garden. It is a way to celebrate how nature flavors everything from the glass to the plate. From the Dry Rose Petals Masala Curry to the Ajoblanco Panna Cotta, it proves that vegetable forward dishes are vibrant and exciting.

While the many dining options have guests anticipating their nightly reservations, the bar program has a new offering that whiskey fans will greatly appreciate. WhistlePig Whiskey will be offering an exclusive offering for Celebrity Cruises. These hand selected barrels, Special Bespoke Barrel Aged 12 Years and Special Single Barrel Aged 10 Years, celebrate the unique approach the distiller has towards its craft. In addition, WhistlePig PiggyBack 100 Proof Bourbon (Aged 6 Years), WhistlePig 10, and WhistlePig 12 will be available.

The addition of a signature liquor seems to be a growing trend for cruise lines. Although not necessarily a Celebrity labeled spirit, the unique pour could be a way for guests to toast to the great adventure with a similar WhistlePig bottle upon their return home.

Lastly, the iconic Martini Bar will feature a new menu. As anyone who has enjoyed a visit on a Celebrity Cruises vessel appreciates, the Martini Bar, its Chandelier Show, and its bartenders turn sipping that classic cocktail into an event.

The Celebrity Ascent will make its inaugural season debut in November 2023 and will set sail from Fort Lauderdale’s Port Everglades. More information on Celebrity Ascent dining, Celebrity Cruises, various itineraries, and booking information can be found at www.celebrity.com.
