2023 Howl-O-Scream Orlando: Third time might be more sinister than a charm
Under the calm waters, something sinister is brewing. During 2023 Howl-O-Scream Orlando, the sirens have returned to warn people of their ultimate peril. Do you dare cross Frost and Flame?
When Howl-O-Scream Orlando debuted, some guests were unsure what to expect. Although some theme parks incorporate well-known stories, this Halloween experience looks to nature for the ultimate frights. Preying on real fears and dire scenarios, these haunted experiences leave a mark.
For the third installment, 2023 Howl-O-Scream Orlando brings back some of last year’s spine-chilling experiences. Houses like Blood Beckoning have guests uncertain if they should enter or run away before the sirens get their way.
Since the houses often put people’s nerves on edge, the immersive bar experiences offer respite on that journey. From the bawdy tales at the Longshoremen Tavern to the tempting libations at Siren’s Last Call, the various bars create quite a scene. This year, an all new bar will join the mix. Maybe one of the voodoo priestess will shake up some magical creations for all to sip.
Speaking of voodoo, the scarezones have made the journey around the theme park a little more precarious. These scare actors take their job very seriously. From lurking in the shadows to the noises that make people jump in the night, the path is far from straight and narrow. There is no avoiding these walkways so it is best to grab a buddy and gather some courage.
While the haunted experiences can bring the screams, many guests will be excited to ride some of the coasters during the nighttime event. In addition to Mako and Manta, guests can catch a wave on the new Pipeline Surf Coaster. Although it is not possible to hang ten on the water during the night, this surf experience will have people flying high.
2023 Howl-O-Scream Orlando runs from September 8 through October 31 on select nights. Tickets can be purchased online.
