Looking back at the season, few people would have initially picked these chefs in the finale three. Even though their signature dishes were good, they did not get the challenge wins like Whit or the initial praise like Brandon. But, those chefs crashed and burned before the finale.
The Blue team wanted Egypt out in the beginning. Whether it was a personality conflict or the chefs saw him as a threat, Egypt overcame the most of anyone in Hell's Kitchen Season 23. Not only did he find his voice and confidence in the kitchen, he showcased some amazing food. Looking back at challenges, he always stayed true to his culinary point of view.
Kyle has never been afraid to showcase his personality. While some of his dishes were complicated, sometimes overly complicated, the creativity infused with those choices showed his unique talent. He shined tremendously in the tableside service challenge and that confidence could give him a boost in the remaining cooks.
Hannah has been quietly proving herself in the kitchen. Without being too flashy, she has stepped up to be a leader on the line. From well-executed dishes to pushing her team to the finish line, that silent but powerful persona should not be doubted, especially when the pressure is high.
At this point, it is hard to predict which chef has an edge. The Hell’s Kitchen Season 23 finale three have a lot of emotions at this point. From getting to see their loved ones to stepping into Hell’s Kitchen Foxwoods Resort Casino, the key will be to channel all those reactions into a dishes that prove their passion for earning the highly coveted title.
