As the cruise brand who has transformed the multi-generational vacation experience, Royal Caribbean is evolving its branded shore experiences. With Perfect Day Mexico, everyone will be running to be the explore this massive undertaking.

When guests step aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship, it is more than just the theory of unpack once to travel the world. Even though the ports of call entice with their unique itineraries, the on-board experiences are so plentiful that it can be hard to pick a favorite.

That attention to detail and creativity applies to the Royal Caribbean offshore experiences. At Perfect Day Coco Cay, it is an extension of that complete vacation vibe. From the kids who jump at the chance to plunge down the slides to the adults who want to “hideaway” from the responsibilities to the person who just wants to chill on the sand, there is a spot for every mood, whim, or fancy.

Following the announcement of the Royal Beach Club Paradise Island and Royal Beach Club Cozumel, Royal Caribbean unveiled plans for Perfect Day Mexico. Set to open in 2027, the gigantic undertaking encompasses what the cruise brand does best, provide experiences that appeal to every demographic.

In a statement, Michael Bayley, president and CEO, Royal Caribbean said, “We have spent the last 50 years shattering perceptions around cruising to transform into a global vacation brand for all generations. Now, we’re bringing our demonstrated history of unparalleled service and revolutionary innovation – everything our vacationers know and love – into our collection of destinations that offer more locally inspired perfect days and beachfront getaways. Perfect Day Mexico is bigger and bolder than anything we have done to date. This destination will be the ultimate vacation for families, and we cannot wait to welcome adventurers from around the world to Mexico for an experience only Royal Caribbean can provide.”

The Perfect Day Mexico will be set up in neighborhoods. The concept is similar to how the Icon Class ships has neighborhoods on board. Those sections allow guests to curate their experience during the day.

Perfect Day Mexico sets the bar high with its attractions. It is similar to how the company chose to do the largest waterpark at sea. There will be 30 waterslides, including longest coaster waterslide in the world, tallest waterslide tower, and the world’s first sombrero slide. While there are other theme parks in Mexico, this experience that is unique to Royal Caribbean will make it a sought-after destination for thrill seekers.

While the attractions make their mark across the horizon, there are plenty of options for guests who prefer to keep their heart rate moderate. The Splash Cove area will feature longest lazy river in the world, float up bars, and more.

Mixed into all the activities, guests will have 12 regionally inspired dining options and 24 bars spread to enjoy. Given the food and beverage team’s approach on its ships, guests should expect creative cocktails and innovative recipe alongside traditional favorites. It will  be an inclusive menu that will have people totally satisfied.

Perfect Day Mexico will be included in Western Caribbean itineraries starting in fall 2027. It will include ships that depart from Galveston, New Orleans and all Florida homeports. Additional details will be revealed closer to the opening date.
