Jurassic summer is coming to DQ: Summer Blizzard Treat menu is here

This summer is going to be Jurassic at Dairy Queen. The Summer Blizzard Treat menu is here and you’re going to need a bigger red spoon.

Who’s ready for summer? Dairy Queen, aka DQ,  is celebrating iconic summer moments with its first-ever Sumer Blizzard Treat Menu. This special menu is inspired by summer flavors and the highly anticipated Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. These summer treats will definitely make the summer sweet.

Inspired by the new Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, the new Jurassic Chomp is a colossal candy mix in Blizzard. The new treat will feature “choco dipped peanut butter bites and fudge topping blended with vanilla soft serve.” This frozen treat sounds quite rich. Although I don’t quite see the tie in to the dinosaur themed movie, I would definitely try this Blizzard. Who doesn’t love the combination of chocolate, peanut butter and vanilla soft serve?

The Jurassic Park inspired Blizzard isn’t the only summer treat. The Summer Blizzard Treat menu features Summer Berry Cheesecake Blizzard Treat, TWIX Blizzard Treat, Cotton Candy Blizzard Treat and S’mores Blizzard treat. These four flavors are classic summer favorites. From s’mores on a campfire to cotton candy at the state fair, these iconic flavors are part of summer memories.

Personally, I am looking forward to the new TXIX Blizzard Treat. The combination of sweet caramel with crunchy cookie pieces with vanilla soft serve sounds so satisfying. While I could enjoy just a mini-Blizzard, this new flavor deserves the big serving (and no I’m not sharing).

Looking at the summer menu, these Blizzard flavors give a nod to nostalgia. Instead of focusing on crazy flavor combinations or unusual ingredients, these summer Blizzards are classic flavors. Summer barbecue often feature berries in fruit salad or in a pie. S’mores, with its gooey marshmallow, is a treat that many people remember from their childhood.

Enjoying these summer Blizzards offers a sense of being a kid again or brings back a great memory. In many cases, families can create a new summer memory with these treats. From celebrating a big win to just taking a break to enjoy each other’s company, these summer treats could bring people together.
