Who wants free Taco Bell? You don’t need to be a NBA fan to score with the return of Steal a Game, Steal a Taco promotion for the NBA Finals.

Taco Bell fans might be a little more interested in the NBA finals this year. The taco giant is bringing back the Steal a Game, Steal a Taco promotion. Even if you don’t know your three-pointer from a free-throw, free Doritos Locos Tacos could be in your future.

According to Taco Bell, the NBA Finals promotion is fairly simple. “The first time that the road team ‘steals’ a game from the home team during the Finals” everyone across America can get a free Doritos Locos Taco. Will you be cheering for your favorite team or cheering for free tacos? Maybe you will be lucky and it’s the same situation.

This promotion marks the third year that Taco Bell has partnered with the NBA. In the two previous years, the games were stolen and lots of people got their free Doritos Locos Tacos. Will there be a three-peat? Unfortunately, I know nothing about basketball and couldn’t wager a guess.

This type of promotion is fun for everyone. Who doesn’t like free food? While it may not get non-basketball fans to watch the NBA Finals, it is a fun way for people to get more involved with a sporting event.

One item is unclear about this promotion. The free item is a Doritos Locos Taco, but it doesn’t say if you get to choose your taco flavor. Since I know more about food than basketball, I wonder if there should be a connection between the “winning” team and the type of Doritos Locos Taco.

On the Taco Bell menu, there are three types of Doritos Locos Tacos. They are nacho, cool ranch and fiery. Since there are three flavors, it wouldn’t be fair to leave one flavor out of the competition. Still, maybe there could be a sudden death taco playoff to see which flavor makes it to the finals.

If this promotion happens, I would be getting the classic nacho flavored Doritos Locos Taco. The traditional nacho flavored Doritos are my favorite. Plus, if I need more spice, I just add some hot sauce.
