Ready to celebrate National Martini Day? These best martinis are the perfect way to celebrate the classic cocktail and its celebratory day.

National Martini Day is June 19 and the best martinis are the way to mark the occasion. The classic cocktail is one of the most well-known adult beverages. From the iconic James Bond request of shaken, not stirred to Sex and the City girls’ night out, the martini is always a smart cocktail choice.

Martinis can be either gin or vodka based. Classically, gin was the original liquor used in the cocktail. Gin was combined with vermouth and was garnished with an olive or lemon peel.

Over the years, the martini has evolved. From the dirty martini with olive juice to creative, flavorful martinis, there is probably at least one variation that anyone could enjoy. Even dessert cocktails can be a great way to end an evening.

In honor of National Martini Day, FoodSided has put together a few suggestions for the cocktail celebration. Who’s ready to raise a glass?
