Still, a peach dessert is delightful at a summer barbecue or an easy weeknight dinner. If you are already grilling, grilled summer peaches make for an easy, simple dessert that everyone will enjoy.
To make grilled peaches, the recipe is extremely easy. It requires peaches, oil and a grill. Of course, sugar and cinnamon add more sweetness to the naturally sweet fruit. Other spice, like nutmeg, can also be added.
Start the recipe by halving the peaches and removing the pit. Then brush the cut side of the peach with oil. Vegetable oil works well. Then, place the cut side down on the grill. Grill for 4-5 minutes. Brush the other side of the peach with oil and flip. Continue grilling till the peach is soft.
To serve the grilled peaches, you have many options. First, you can just serve the grilled peaches. The simple, fresh fruit is delightful on its own.
Personally, I love serving the grilled peaches with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Usually, I put a couple of grilled peaches in the bottom of a flat bowl, top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and sprinkle some brown sugar or a little caramel on top.
