Is there a new Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours To Hell And Back episode tonight?
On July 4th, is there a new Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours To Hell And Back episode on FOX or will you be re-watching an episode?
This week, there isn’t a new Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours To Hell And Back episode. Instead of Gordon Ramsay saving another failing restaurant, FOX is replaying the first episode, Bella Gianna’s. Are you ready to re-visit this first kitchen nightmare?
So far this season, Gordon Ramsay has found a way to transform failing restaurants in magnificent ways. This restaurant based, make-over show isn’t just about saving a restaurant. The transformation is for the restaurant owners.
GORDON RAMSAY’S 24 HOURS TO HELL AND BACK: L-R: Host Gordon Ramsay with chef Louis Cilento in the all-new “Bella Gianna’s” series premiere episode of GORDON RAMSAY’S 24 HOURS TO HELL AND BACK airing Wednesday, June 13 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. CR: FOX. © 2018 FOX Broadcasting.
Looking at the first three episodes, it appears that the Ramsay makeovers were successful. A quick Yelp search shows that all three restaurants are still in business and are getting good reviews. It seems that the restaurants wanted to learn from their poor choices.

This makeover show has become a hit with fans. FOX has already renewed the show for a second season. It will be interesting to see if the makeovers become even more extreme for the second season.
One aspect that I don’t like for this show is the extreme scenes. Clips like the mouse falling out of the toaster are disgusting. Was that scene just for effect or was it real? For me it is hard to believe that any restaurant would have such filth or could pass periodic health inspections.
Some professional kitchens have cleanliness issues. I am not naïve. But, would these restaurants still be open with all the extreme problems.
The service issues are a more interesting concept for this show. Poor service can turn anyone away from a restaurant. Even the most impressive food or interesting concept can suffer from poor service. It would be interesting for this show to explore the restaurant service issue in future episodes.
