Creamy SNICKERS bars are coming and we’re satisfied
Forget the crunch. New Creamy SNICKERS bars are coming and candy fans are excited. Finally smooth nut butter fans have a candy bar that they want.
Just announced, Creamy SNICKERS bars are the candy bars that smooth nut butter fans have been craving. Instead of chunky, pieces of nuts in the classic candy bar, this new flavor features creamy nut butters for a smooth, delicious taste.
The new Creamy SNICKERS bars will be available in three flavors, Almond Butter, Peanut Butter and Maple Almond Butter. While the addition of the creamy texture is exciting, the additional option of almond butter variety is important as well. These changes show that the brand is looking at both food trends and consumers’ wants.
According to Josh Olken, Brand Director, SNICKERS® Brand. “We listened to our consumers’ desires for new tastes like almond butter and paired it with an innovation on texture. With Creamy SNICKERS® bars, our fans can discover new tastes, and can now get SNICKERS® satisfaction in both crunchy and smooth.

Offering two almond flavors shows that consumers enjoy nut butters but don’t always want the classic peanut butter. This flavor option is well suited for a creamy texture, too. It will be interesting to see if the almond variety will be more popular than the smooth peanut butter choice.
Additionally, the option to have a Maple Almond Butter is interesting. Maple flavors are often highlighted in the fall months. The combination could have a more nuanced, sweet flavor as well. Although the combination of caramel and maple isn’t common, it could be a new flavor combination that more brands could explore. As long as the candy bar avoids being too sweet, this flavor combination could set SNICKERS apart from other candy bars in the market.
Over the past couple of years, SNICKERS has focused on the “satisfying” component of its candy bars. The combination of texture and flavor is often considered part of satisfying hunger. While all the flavor is still apparent in these candy bars, the smooth, not crunchy, texture offers a different type of satisfaction. These candy bars might not have the same textural component, but they offer the textural aspect that many sweet treats haven’t tackled, a smooth nut butter. In that case, the candy bars satisfy the consumers’ cravings.
Consumers craving the new Creamy SNICKERS bars will have to wait a while. These new candy bars won’t hit store shelves until January 2019.
Are you excited for the new Creamy SNICKERS? Personally, I can’t wait to try the Maple Almond Butter variety. This combination is definitely tempts my taste buds and hopefully satisfies my hangry.
