Wishing for a new Hell’s Kitchen episode tonight? Does the holiday season mean that the FOX’s Gordon Ramsay show will be preempted?

A new Hell’s Kitchen episode on FOX unfortunately won’t be on the must watch list tonight. On November 23, the favorite Gordon Ramsay driven culinary competition is preempted due to college football.

Since there is no new episode this week, let’s take a look back at the first couple episodes of Hell’s Kitchen Season 18. This seasons started with a few firsts, namely the idea of rookies versus veterans. That idea got fans really excited.

Bringing back favorite contestants is always popular with fans. People like to see if those chefs have grown and learned from their Hell’s Kitchen experience. Looking at the remaining chefs in the competition, some chefs didn’t get the redemption that they sought.

  • So far, many veterans have left the competition. Chefs, like Chef T, saw that a bad night on the line spelled doom for her redemption. Could another veteran be next to go?

Truthfully, it could be harder for a veteran to earn this season’s title. While they have the experience in this culinary competition, it is hard to achieve the same success twice. There is a lot of pressure for these chefs.

Looking at the rookies, some of these chefs were a little unprepared for the competition. What works well in their own restaurants and kitchens might not work well in Hell’s Kitchen. Additionally, one bad night can bring instant doom.

Thinking about the competition where it currently stands, chefs like Jose and Mia still could be poised to do well. They are talented chefs but have been under the radar a little. It will be interesting to see if they can start to be more dominate in the competition.

For the veterans, the storyline seems focuses on drama. Bret, yes emotional Bret, is very dominate in the kitchen. While he blew his punishment pass, he has been up, down and everywhere this season. Could he actually keep his emotions in check to win?
