Only Martinis in the Building

A classic martini is always a good choice. Even if there is something more trendy captivating people’s attention, the tried and true is always a solid choice. Just like the apartment with rent control, it might be the most coveted item around.

Chill coupe or Martini glass in the freezer. Build the contents of the cocktail in a mixing glass with ice. Stir well for 45 seconds and serve into the chilled coupe or Martini glass. Garnish with lemon twist or olives.

Oliver’s Original Soda Highball

Sometimes there is an opportunity to sit in a dimly lit room and reminisce about the days gone by. This simple cocktail with Dewar’s can start a tale that needs to be told again.

  • Add Dewar’s White Label to chilled highball glass. Fill with cubed ice and soda. Stir twice then spray lemon zest over the top and garnish.

Arconia Apple & Cinnamon Highball

A little spice in life can be a good thing. In this cocktail, the combination of apple and cinnamon is warm, inviting, but a touch intriguing. There might be a little mystery, but it is too tempting not to try.

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz Dewar’s French Cask Smooth
  • ¼ oz Lemon Juice
  • ¼ oz Cinnamon Syrup
  • ½ oz Cloudy Apple Juice
  • 2 oz Soda Water

Method:

  • Add whisky, lemon juice, cinnamon syrup and apple juice to highball glass, then fill the glass with cubed ice. Top with soda, stir from the bottom up and garnish with apple slice.

Brazzo’s Bramble Bramble

Somes the meandering path might not be the most judicious, but it can be entertaining. Like a good bramble, the combination of zesty and sweet is the surprise that has people smiling time and again.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ oz Bombay Bramble
  • ¾ oz Lemon Juice
  • ¾ oz Simple Syrup
  • 1 Lemon Wedge
  • 1 Blackberry

Method:

  • Combine ingredients into your shaker filled with ice. Hard shake. Strain in a rocks glass with fresh ice. Garnish with a lemon wedge and a blackberry.

Noir Negroni

A negroni might not be the classic cocktail that people initially order, but it is the bold flavor that cannot be denied. It sets the tone for an eventful evening and deserves prime space on the table.

Ingredients:

  • 1 part Bombay Sapphire
  • 1 part Martini and Rossi Bitter
  • 1 part Martini and Rossi Rubino
  • Orange Wedge

Method:

  • Stir all ingredients together. Strain into your favorite old fashioned glass or rocks glass with fresh ice. Garnish with an orange wheel.
