Nashville Hot Chicken is legendary. Now that flavor is coming to Pringles. Can you handle the heat from this fiery flavor?

Have you braved the heat of Nashville Hot Chicken? Pringles has adopted that popular Southern food staple into its line-up of snack flavors. Will the spicy, fiery chicken flavor tempt your next flavor stacking experiment?

Even if you have never been to Nashville, food fans are familiar with Nashville Hot Chicken. While the exact origin of this spicy, fried chicken isn’t quite clear, some people believe the legend. The legend says that the super spicy chicken was a breakfast revenge chicken. The woman wanted to add extra heat to the chicken to get back at her womanizing boyfriend.

Today’s version of the spicy chicken is usually served on white bread or a bun with a couple of pickle slices. While every restaurant’s version is different, the basic recipe included some type of jalapeño, cayenne and paprika combination. The fried chicken definitely leaves a little burn on your lips.

Spicy flavors are a food trend in the snacking world. From Mexican jalapeños to Korean gochujang, spice is everywhere. It makes sense that Pringles is joining this spicy food trend.

But, to get the true flavor of this sandwich, consumers will have to buy another flavor of Pringles. While many people enjoy flavor stacking, the layered flavors of this particular chicken sandwich need more than just a single bite. The Nashville Hot Chicken flavor will need the Pringles Screamin’ Dill Pickle Flavor (and maybe the Original flavor, too).

If you want to try this new spicy flavor, it is exclusively available at Dollar General. Also, the flavor is only available for the summer. Guess the hot weather is the best time to enjoy spicy foods.
