Have you tried the new Donut Fries? On National French Fry Day, July 13, select Dunkin’ Donuts locations will be offering guests the opportunity to try this delicious new donut treat. Who’s hungry?
According to Dunkin’ Donuts, “first 100 guests at 25 participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants across five U.S. markets will receive a free order of Donut Fries from 10am to 2pm local time on National French Fry Day, Friday, July 13.” Who said that July 13 isn’t lucky day?

Dunkin’ Donuts recently launched these new “donuts.” The idea is a fun one. Basically, a croissant style donut is cut into fry-shaped pieces. The donuts are topped with cinnamon sugar and served warm.
While Dunkin’ Donuts doesn’t serve these new fries with a dipping sauce, I wish that they would. Although the consistency is different, the fries remind me a little of churros. Churros are always tasty with a dipping sauce. Chocolate or caramel sauces are delicious with a warm, cinnamon sugar pastry.
This newest offering from Dunkin’ Donuts is one of the many new products offered recently. Each month, the donut giant offers limited edition and seasonal flavors. Who didn’t to try the cosmic donuts that came out earlier this summer?

It will be interesting to see what flavors and/or styles of donuts that appear in stores this fall. While
will surely make its appearance as soon as the summer temperatures drop, could another flavor bump the fall favorite? Last year’s maple flavors were a welcome addition to the fall menu. Maybe a roasted chestnut or even a horchata flavor could make an appearance to the Dunkin’ Donuts menu.
Even though donuts are a huge draw, coffee can’t be overlooked at this national restaurant chain. As the new donut flavors are added, complimentary coffee drinks are offered, too. It will be interesting to see if the cold brew coffee trend continues to expand with new flavors and options. Maybe Dunkin’ Donuts will introduced some flavored whipped creams or other flavored toppings.
