Name a popular celebrity chef. Even in a quick moment, many people could name several. With the popularity of food TV, cookbooks and the foodie lifestyle, celebrity chefs are everywhere. In some states, one particular chef reigns supreme.
Recently, USDirect.com did some research on states’ favorite celebrity chefs. Based on Google Trends, a definitive list of favorite celebrity chefs, by states, was compiled. The results were rather interesting.
The biggest similarity across all the states was the television influence. All the chefs have some sort of presence on food TV. From the Food Network to CNN, these chefs have found their way into foodies’ homes. It goes to show the impact of food TV.

Looking at the list specifically, two chefs seem to hold the biggest impression on fans. Alton Brown and the late Anthony Bourdain were the favorite chefs in the most states. It is quite curious that both of these chefs didn’t really cook on television. They shared food experiences.

Food brings people around the table. While the meal provides nourishment, that food is also nourishment for the soul. Both Brown and Bourdain have captivated foodies’ fascination with the food experience.
As for the other celebrity chefs on this list, the majority of them are household names. From Guy Fieri to Rachel Ray, many of these chefs are a big part of pop culture. Who hasn’t stopped at a Triple D restaurant or used the phrase EVOO? It only reaffirms that integration of food into various parts of pop culture.
Only one chef stood out as slightly unusual on this list. While fans of The Great British Bake Off love Paul Hollywood, he isn’t the common household name like many of the other chefs. Could his inclusion on this list see his appearance on more American based food shows?
